How far in advance should I book a tour guide?
We recommend booking at least 48–72 hours in advance, especially during peak tourist season (October–March). For sunrise Taj Mahal tours and large groups, we suggest booking a week ahead to secure your preferred guide and date. Last-minute bookings can sometimes be accommodated — contact us directly.
What is included in the guide fee?
The guide fee covers the guide’s professional services for the agreed duration, personalised commentary, photography assistance, and a pre-tour consultation. Monument entry tickets, transportation, meals, and gratuities are separate and not included in the base guide fee unless specified in your package.
Is it possible to customise the tour itinerary?
Absolutely. All our tours are fully customisable. Whether you want to spend more time at a particular site, focus on photography, include a local market visit, or avoid crowded areas, simply let us know your preferences and your guide will adjust accordingly.
Are your guides government-approved?
Yes, absolutely. Every guide in our network holds a valid Regional Level Tourist Guide (RLTG) or National Level Tourist Guide licence issued by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. They are also authorised by the Archaeological Survey of India for access to protected monuments including the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.
Can I request a guide who speaks my language?
Yes — and we strongly encourage you to specify your language preference at the time of booking. We offer guiding in English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Italian, Russian, and Chinese. For other languages, please contact us and we’ll do our best to arrange a suitable guide.
What is your cancellation policy for guide bookings?
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the tour start time are fully refunded. Cancellations within 24–48 hours may attract a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice or no-shows are non-refundable. Please refer to our full Cancellation Policy for details.
